This piece draws from whirlpool motifs used in Miao ornamentation, where continuous curves and rotational outlines organise the structure of the pattern. These elements are interpreted here in a compact form that remains clear when worn close to the face.
Coiled units are arranged in a balanced composition, keeping attention on proportion and the clarity of the outer line. Shaped in 990 silver using traditional wire-coiling techniques, each element retains the defined contours that give the motif its structural coherence.
The earrings present a long-standing ornamental structure in a refined contemporary interpretation, allowing rotational order to remain the focus.
